VARICOSE SCLEROSIS

Vascular disease is one of the most common aesthetic problems that worries women the most and can also lead to long-term complications. Spider veins and varicose veins arise due to poor functioning of blood vessels. Blood cannot overcome the force of gravity and accumulates in the veins, dilating them.

There are some factors that favor the appearance of varicose veins, such as standing or sitting for a long time, being overweight, a sedentary lifestyle, hormonal disorders, the use of contraceptives or genetic inheritance.

For small reticular varicose veins, spider veins, broom filaments, etc. and microvaricose veins, the LIPOART clinic offers you various treatments to successfully eliminate varicose veins:

Sclerotherapy or Vascular Sclerosis Technique

Today the treatment of medium and large caliber varicose veins is simplified through the application of a new and revolutionary method that eliminates the entire varicose network without surgical interventions, without scars and with immediate incorporation into active daily life: the SCLEROSIS WITH FOAM, which allows a comfortable and effective treatment.

It consists of the direct application of a sclerosing substance that cancels the varicose vein and, consequently, makes it disappear. It is a simple process that, currently, represents the most effective and least aggressive alternative for the treatment of this type of problem. This technique is performed on an outpatient basis, without surgery, without anesthesia and without scars.

A variant of this technique is vascular sclerosis with microfoam, usually reserved for larger veins.

Photosclerosis or Vascular Laser

The Laser treats vascular lesions and does not affect the tissue surrounding the varicose vein in any way. The laser passes through the skin, without damaging it, and coagulates the blood in the varicose vein. Over time, the clot is reabsorbed by the body and the varicose vein disappears.

ELECTROSCLEROSIS

Another technique that we can use is ELECTROESCLEROSIS, in the case of microvaricose veins that are inaccessible to sclerosis with a needle, an electrocoagulation technique with a fine Teflon-coated needle is used.

Sclerotherapy, photosclerosis and radiofrequency electrocoagulation are not alternative treatments, but complementary. In fact, at LIPOART, we combine them to reduce treatment time in half, achieving the best result in the shortest time possible.

Unlike surgical treatment, these techniquesdo not require rest during or after treatment. Incorporation into daily activities is immediate.

Previously, a general and hemodynamic study is performed to rule out alterations in the deep venous system, blood coagulation or possible contraindications to treatment. It is developed through periodic sessions until the varicose network is completely cleaned. You will need to wear elastic containment (special stockings) for a few days and will take supportive oral and local treatment.

Rest is not recommended. You should walk daily and after each session, for at least 30-40 minutes.

The ideal date to perform these treatments is the time from fall (October) to spring (April or May). That is, taking advantage of the cool climate that allows us to better support compression stockings and helps produce peripheral vasoconstriction (or narrowing of the veins).

In the information and assessment visit we will do a small study of the extent and intensity of your problem. We will give you a quote, and the entire treatment process will be explained to you, if indicated.
