Rhinoplasty
A large, aquiline, deviated nose, with a pronounced ridge, and a thick tip, is a subsidiary of undergoing surgery to give it a more harmonious shape and aesthetics. This intervention is called rhinoplasty and consists of remodeling a person's nose to give it a more anatomical appearance and in accordance with their physiognomy. There are multiple rhinoplasty techniques, although they tend to be grouped into two types of procedures:
Open Rhinoplasty: An incision is required in the nasal columella to more easily address the different structures of the nose.
Closed rhinoplasty: The incision is made in the nasal vestibule without the need to make a visible incision in the columella.
Depending on the type of patient, the plastic surgeon decides one technique or another for the best resolution of the nasal alteration. Rhinoplasty is a surgical intervention that is performed mainly on young people, although the age range is very wide. It is in the first decades of life in which the nasal appendage is one of the objectives of the gaze and the central point of human relationships. When a person decides to have nose surgery, they must know all the details of the intervention, the advantages and possible complications, the plastic surgeon, the clinic where the surgery will be performed, and the postoperative care.
Blepharoplasty
It consists of a functional or cosmetic surgical procedure with the purpose of reshaping the upper or lower eyelid by eliminating and/or repositioning excess tissue as well as strengthening the surrounding muscles and tendons. When a significant amount of skin is present on the eyelid, the skin can hang over the eyelashes and cause loss of peripheral vision. The outer and upper parts of the visual field are most commonly affected and the condition can cause difficulty with activities such as driving or reading. Patients with a less severe amount of excess skin can undergo a similar procedure for cosmetic reasons, to improve lower eyelid bags and reduce skin wrinkling.
Blepharoplasty is performed through external incisions made along the natural lines of the eyelids, such as the stripes on the upper eyelids and under the eyelashes on the lower eyelids, or along the inner surface of the lower eyelid. It is an outpatient surgery, because it is not necessary for the patient to remain hospitalized and recovery is quick.
face lift
As people age, the effect of gravity, sun exposure and daily stress produce certain signs of aging on the face, aggravated by tobacco and alcohol habits. The folds between the mouth and nose become accentuated, the mandibular edge loses definition and the neck becomes flaccid.
Lifts must be individualized for each patient. During the consultation, your surgeon will analyze your face, your skin type and your bone structure and will discuss the possibilities that surgery offers you. The interventions basically consist of “tightening” the muscle layers and skin, removing excess tissue. Each case may vary in terms of the placement and extent of the incisions, the areas of the face that need to be improved, the use or not of complementary techniques (blepharoplasty, profileplasties, etc.) and the duration of the intervention.
After surgery, the postoperative period is usually not painful. The discomfort that generally appears is usually well controlled with regular pain relievers. The dressing and drainage tubes are usually removed in 24 to 48 hours.
Lipofilling
It consists of obtaining fat through liposuction, processing it and subsequently injecting it into the face to give volume and achieve facial rejuvenation.
Otoplasties
Plastic intervention of the ears that is performed to correct prominent pinnae or correct their size. Ear deformity is a matter of genetic inheritance and has no well-known cause. Although most of the interventions are carried out on children between 6 and 14 years old, in order to avoid psychological bullying by peers, it is also common in adults, obtaining the same aesthetic results.
Otoplasty is performed in clinic, on an outpatient basis if it is under local anesthesia and intravenous sedation or general anesthesia is required by medical criteria, you must remain hospitalized for one day.
The most commonly used surgical technique is made through an incision behind the ear to expose the cartilage that will be remodeled and thinned as each case requires. Stitches are usually placed in the cartilage until the desired folding is achieved and in this way the ear acquires a new shape.
Perfiloplasties: chin and malar prosthesis
Perfiloplasties: chin and malar prosthesis
The forehead, nose, cheekbones and chin are the key points that make up our profile. That is why they are the ones that receive the most attention, but not only do surgeons focus on these points, but in profileplasty there are many other things to take into account: edges of the jaw, prominence of the cheekbones, distance between eyebrows, etc.
In addition, you also have to look a little into the future and think about the results in case you need to tweak something else. For example, it may be that, when retouching your profile, it may be necessary to fill the lips with some substance to obtain a more harmonious silhouette, or retouch with Botox to soften some wrinkles that may make you look a little ugly.
Upper Lip Lift
A younger, more attractive smile
The upper lip lift, also known as lip lift or lip lift, is an aesthetic procedure that seeks to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the lips. It consists of shortening the distance between the nose and the upper lip, raising the lip and increasing its volume naturally.
Why perform a lip lift?
- Aging: With the passage of time, lips lose volume and become thinner, giving an aged appearance.
- Small lips: People with naturally small lips may wish to increase their volume.
- Disproportion between the nose and lips: A lip lift can help balance facial proportions.
- Improved smile: A higher and fuller upper lip can enhance the smile and give a more youthful appearance.
