What is Carboxytherapy?
Carboxytherapy is a non-surgical technique or procedure in which carbon dioxide gas, CO2, is administered intradermally with a very small sterile needle connected through a connector to a machine that regulates the flow of administered gas.
The technique can be applied alone or in combination with others, such as Mesotherapy, laser therapies, etc. Its origin dates back to the 1950s in France, when a group of cardiologists developing treatments for different medical conditions related to poor circulation and wound healing, extended the studies to treatments for fat accumulation and other aesthetic conditions. Carboxytherapy is used to heal or combat excess fat in the body, cellulite, body and facial aging, sagging, micro varicose veins, reduce scars and stretch marks. It is also used as a postoperative treatment for liposuction or cosmetic surgeries to correct skin irregularities, prevent fibrosis and improve results. Its use is common in the branches of Rheumatology, Angiology, Urology and Dermatology.
The best method to end Cellulite.
Carboxytherapy is a therapeutic method to degrade accumulated fat in different areas of the body and fibrosis. It uses Carbon Anhydride (CO2), and one of its main applications is Aesthetic Medicine, in which it is used to combat disorders such as cellulite that is caused by the poor functioning of the microcirculatory system and poor tissue nutrition.
The human body in a state of rest produces around 200cc of CO2 per minute. This amount can be multiplied by 10 when we exercise, therefore, it is proven that the application of this substance is harmless to health, even in higher than normal doses.
Carboxytherapy is not a treatment for obesity and the results are obtained more effectively if it is complemented with other treatments that will enhance its effects such as Mesotherapy, Subdermal Therapy or Pressotherapy.
